Testimonial from Umberto Nardolicci

After researching, taking classes, and even speaking to other writers, I wasn’t making much progress. I decided that I needed to get some professional help with this writing ‘thing’. A friend of mine suggested Dawn Bates as an Author Coach. To be honest, I had never heard of an “Author Coach” before, nor had I ever thought of hiring one. Turned out to be the best thing for me to get things moving forward. Dawn was a bright, cheerful, and positive influence that helped me focus my thoughts and efforts. She basically pushed me off the cliff of research, outlines, and apprehension into the valley of writing. Soon chapters began to come, and she was a positive voice throughout the whirlwind of thoughts and ideas. She followed along with the plot, characters, settings, and events, helping me to make sense of it all. She is a fantastic Author Coach who I have truly enjoyed working with. Throughout our time working together, Dawn has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to me and my book. I have two more books to write in my trilogy, and Dawn will hopefully remain a critical person within my team.

Umberto Nardolicci, also known as “Nardo,” has led an extraordinary life journey. He was born and raised in upstate New York and developed a passion for innovation and service early in life, which led him to join the military—a path that would have a profound impact on his life.

The Warrior’s Path

Nardo served in the U.S. Navy and was injured during his time in service, leaving him a disabled veteran. He remained resilient and determined. After his military service, he transitioned into civilian life, working at Johns Hopkins University, and became a successful software engineer. Throughout his career, he has worked on several leading-edge projects that left an indelible mark on many industries. From high-tech missile systems to the largest healthcare system in the world, Nardo has worked with some of the best and brightest.

He remains dedicated to working with cutting-edge tech company, GigaTECH and serving as an Executive Consultant and Board Member of multiple organizations. All the while, his passion for storytelling, the martial arts, and his fellow veterans continued to burn within him. In 2022, he picked up a pen and embarked on a new adventure, delving into historical fiction, weaving tales of honor, sacrifice, and resilience into his characters’ journey. His novels and passion project, The War of Fear trilogy, bring to life a long-standing desire to tell the story of an amazing warrior.

Creating A Legacy of Honor

The pages of Nardo’s novels transport readers to pivotal historical moments, where heroes and heroines grappled with their demons while fighting for a better world. His characters bring history to life and give readers a glimpse of the horrors of war, the camaraderie of battle, and the enduring spirit of those who served. His mission, however, extends beyond entertainment. Nardo uses this platform to raise awareness about veterans’ struggles and advocate for their well-being, donating all proceeds from this book to veteran organizations.

Nardo’s legacy is one of honor, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the written word and the veterans who have given so much. His journey from the battlefield to author is a testament to the power of storytelling and the indomitable spirit of those who serve.
