Raising Grit

By Beth Canalichio

Raising a gritty kid is hard.

Harnessing the power of your own grit is even harder. But harness it you must, especially if you want your child to have the grit to thrive in the world today and into the future.

Raising a child with grit, firmly believing that teaching accountability, responsibility, respect, integrity, resilience, good communication and interpersonal skills are vital for every parent who cares about raising a quality human being.

Why make it harder by remaining completely unaware of your deeply buried personal issues that will negatively affect how you parent?

Do your child a solid (and yourself) and clean up your deepest wounds so you can transform into the parent you were meant to be.

Your child will thank you. And you will stand proud of a job well done that was executed by your best self.

About Beth

Working in the field of mental health assisting children, adults, couples and families, Beth Canalichio knows the awesome power of Grit.

Always seeking to help clients dig deep and heal what hurts it was an honor for Beth. To be chosen as the life raft for those who were ready and willing to grab on, a privilege.

Deeply inspired by the experience of raising a strong-minded young man, Beth has demonstrated her ability to raise grit.

With the love she has of developing grit in others, she is doing what it takes to follow her dreams of finally becoming an author. For years clients asked her to “write it down”. This book is Beth ‘writing it down’.

BRIEF

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in mental health treatment, Beth has worked with children, adolescents and families for almost 30 years.

With her own practice, Beth wanted to reach more people with her proven techniques and insights. She knew the best ways to do this was to write a book and build a new career.

With the breakdown of family and society in many ways, and as a driven and dedicated change maker, Beth got to work.

Together we’ve been working on creating opportunities in radio and journalism for international and national magazines.

There are also additional books around the subject of parenting and raising grit coming in the future – so watch this space!
